Breed Objectives
The East Friesian sheep bring exceptional milk production, fertility and fast-growing lambs to sheep production.
We aim to promote the breeds qualities throughout Australia and grow the breeds genetic diversity.
We intend to show Pure East Frisian Sheep genetics to Australia and into the world. There is a growing demand for dairy sheep and their products internationally.
Border Leicester X East Friesian Rams
When a Border Leicester is crossed with an East Friesian ewe producing a ram lamb which is then joined with a merino ewe. The first cross ewe produced has high milk level able to feed and grow your prime lamb at a rapid rate.
East Friesian Sheep produce milk that is high in protein and fat which contributes to raising strong lambs that meet weight quicker. Your first cross ewe will have added fertility and is more capable of raising multiple lambs with this exceptionally high milk production.
With the Border Lester line this enhances the EF large frame. The combination creates further meat production in your prime lambs.
